Children & Teen
Yoga & Activities
At PCY, we believe yoga is not only asana (poses), but can include so much more. We also believe yoga is not about “sitting still and quiet”! Children and Teen Yoga classes at Peaceful Chaos Yoga, offer an opportunity for your child to try something different (and fun). If you have questions or concerns about which class is right for your child, please give us a call! Additionally, those registering more than one child, please email us for the family discount.

Sibshops at PCY!
Saturdays 11:30 AM 90 Mins
October 4 - October 25th 4 Week Session $90
We know that having a brother or sister with different abilities can be a mixed bag of emotions. Our Sibshops is like a secret club where we do cool activities and talk about things that matter, with other brothers and sisters from families like yours. Play games, make crafts, chat, and learn some self regulation techniques for those time that make you say “Grrr!”
It's a chance to meet new friends, share happy moments, and learn how to handle different situations...like the stuff that might bug us sometimes when we have siblings with additional support needs. Come join the fun! Ages 6 -10
Sibshops is a national program offered through the Sibling Support Project. Each session is co-facilitated by a parent and a sibling of a child with additional support needs.
If you have any questions, please email Jeannine here.
Building Mindfulness: Lego Program at PCY
Saturdays 11:30 am 60 mins
November 15 - December 13 4 Week Session $75
(no class on November 29th)
What does playing with Legos have to do with mindfulness and yoga???
When assembling a structure and following visual and/or auditory directions, the mind’s focus is not anything else that can distract or perpetuate anxiety. We do the same in yoga: we focus on the steps needed to create stable shapes with our bodies. Thus, building with Lego bricks can be very meditative.
Lego Therapy was developed using science based research interventions with children and adults on the autism spectrum. The Building Mindfulness Lego Program at PCY, is based on Lego therapy curriculums, which allow participants to work on sequencing, listening, joint attention, memory, visual perception, turn-taking, and fine motor skills.
While having fun in a sensory friendly, accessible and inclusive environment, this class series includes Lego design building, social-emotional learning, breathing exercises, and of course, some yoga!
